I am a writer, speaker, creative writing mentor and former army officer. As one of the pioneering women officers who served in the Indian army, I lived through many rich experiences that inspired me to write 'She's a Jolly Good Fellow' (Hachette India). The novel is a hilarious yet thought-provoking story about gender identity issues in the traditionally male-dominated army. The book has been acquired by a leading production house for film adaptation.
A collection of my short stories set in the armed forces was published by Juggernaut Books.
I have also written articles, essays and travelogues for various publications, which include The New Indian Express, DNA, Mid-Day, India Currents (US) and Transitions Abroad (US) among others.
As a writer and mentor, I have conducted creative writing workshops for various age groups. I am also a TEDx speaker and motivational speaker, who has spoken at various corporate organizations and educational institutions.
